On Thursday, the Cincinnati Bengals granted Andy Dalton’s wish and released him from the roster to allow him the opportunity to find the team he wants to sign with in free agency.
According to Tyler Dragon of the Enquirer, the Patriots and Jaguars are among the teams interested in the veteran QB.
After Tom Brady left in free agency, the Patriots have Brian Hoyer and 2019 fourth-rounder Jarrett Stidham on the roster at quarterback. Jacksonville traded Nick Foles this offseason and it seems they may be behind Gardner Minshew going forward, but they would be in the market for a back-up QB with experience.
The 32-year-old Dalton played in 13 games during the 2019 season and racked up 3,494 yards to go along with 16 touchdowns and 14 interceptions.
