Jadeveon Clowney is easily one of the most talented players left to be signed in free agency, but he isn’t rushing the process.
In fact, Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times is reporting there is a growing sense that the Seattle Seahawks free agent defensive end may wait until training camp to sign with a team.
As of right now, Clowney hasn’t gotten anything close to what he had hoped in free agency, with reports suggesting that he is looking for deals in the $20 million-a season-or more range. Condotta mentions that the Seahawks’ offer to Clowney more in the $13-15 million-per-year range.
Earlier reports state that Clowney turned down $17 million per year from the Dolphins.
The former No. 1 overall pick of the Texans back in 2014 played in 13 games with the Seahawks in 2019 and racked up 31 tackles, three sacks, an interception, two defensive touchdowns, four forced fumbles, two recoveries and three pass defenses.
