One AFC South team is looking to make a big splash just hours before the start of the NFL Draft.
The Jacksonville Jaguars, who own the No. overall pick, the organization is said to be weighing options between four different possibilities at No. 1. Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio reports that “the Jaguars are still hoping that they can find a path out of the top pick”
The Jags could trade back to No. 4 but according to recent reports from NBC Sports’ Mike Florio, no team is interested in trading up to No. 1.
Jacksonville GM Trent Baalke said no team had called about trading up. It appears most teams believe this might be one of the weakest drafts in recent memory and spending top-notch money for the talent is not worth it unless they can get them later in the draft when it becomes cheaper.
Unless something crazy happens in the next few hours, it looks like the Jaguars will likely select with the No. 1 overall pick for the second year in a row.
