Jadeveon Clowney could be on the move.
Earlier this week, the Seattle Seahawks traded away Frank Clark who got a massive contract from the Kansas City Chiefs, and it looks like another team might be trying to move a key part of their defense as well.
On Thursday, Chris Mortensen of ESPN reported that the Houston Texans are open to trading away the star linebacker as Clowney has not signed his tender yet. Talks between Clowney and the Texans were reportedly at a stand-still as both sides were said to not be close on a deal.
According to Houston Chronicle’s John McClain — Clowney isn’t going anywhere.
Clowney was the first overall pick in 2015 and has produced 18.5 sacks for the Texans over the last two seasons.
Clowney has played all five of his NFL seasons with the Texans even though his rookie year was shortened to just four games due to injuries.
