The NFL Draft is less than three weeks away and the Jacksonville Jaguars have been on the clock unofficially for some time now. Many experts assume the Jags will be selecting Aidan Hutchinson, but recent reports suggest that the franchise could shock everybody on draft night by going with somebody else.
Mike Garafolo has heard the same chatter as Peter Schrager that Travon Walker could go first overall.
Garafolo is also reporting that Jaguars general manager Trent Baalke sees a lot of Aldon Smith in Walker.
The defensive lineman out of Georgia finished the 2021 season with 37 total tackles (19 solo), six sacks, one fumble recovery, and two passes deflected.
Hutchinson had better numbers as finished last season with 62 total tackles (36 solo), 14 sacks, two forced fumbles, a fumble recovery, and three passes defended.
Whichever way the franchise decides to go, it should make the team much better in 2022.
