Eric Reid played well enough last season where he should have a job in 2020. Washington came calling this week, but he reportedly had no interest in it.
Washington lost starting safety Landon Collins to a torn Achilles in the win over the Cowboys last Sunday, so they reached out to the free agent safety about coming aboard. The former 49ers and Panthers safety told Rob Maaddi of the Associated Press that he was offered a spot on the team’s practice squad, but declined.
Reid started all 16 games last year, recording 130 combined tackles, six passes defended, a forced fumble, and four sacks. Once the team got a new coaching staff, he was released by the team in March.
