If Bleacher Report’s Mike Freeman is correct, Julio Jones is about to become the highest paid wide receiver in the NFL.
According to his sources, Jones and the Atlanta Falcons are closing in on a deal that would pay the Pro Bowl wide receiver $20 million per year for somewhere between 4 and 5 years. As for the guaranteed money, it is expected to be somewhere in the range of $50 to $60 million.
At the moment, Odell Beckham’s $18 million is the highest average salary per year among all NFL wideouts. Last August, he signed a five-year deal with the Giants worth $90 million.
Julio has made six Pro Bowls since entering the league in 2011. In 2018, he led the NFL in receiving yards with 1,677.
