Philip Rivers made it clear that he wanted to continue his career even though his time with the Los Angeles Chargers had come to an end.
Well, after seeing what Tony Romo got for being a sports analyst and what Peyton Manning is being offered, he might have a change of heart.
The New York Post is reporting that ESPN is “showing interest” in Philip Rivers’ joining the network’s NFL coverage.
The 38-year-old is set to become a free agent March 18 after the Los Angeles Chargers announced they were moving on from him in February.
Aside from ESPN, the Las Vegas Raiders and Indianapolis Colts have been linked as two teams possibly interested in signing the 28-year-old.
In 2019, Rivers played in all 16 games for the Chargers, racking up 4,615 yards, 23 touchdowns and 20 interceptions.
