Can the Detroit Lions go all the way?
ESPN’s updated computer model projects that a top team will win Super Bowl 59 in New Orleans, Louisiana, on Feb. 9.
The Kansas City Chiefs are the reigning back-to-back world champions, but the path to a Super Bowl won’t be easy as the team will have to deal with the likes of possibly facing the Buffalo Bills, Baltimore Ravens, or even the Los Angeles Chargers.
If they make it to New Orleans, it gets even harder, as the Philadelphia Eagles, Detroit Lions, or Minnesota Vikings could be waiting for them.
With the NFL’s regular season and the playoffs seeding set, ESPN has released its latest prediction on which team will hoist the coveted Super Bowl trophy.
The network’s Football Power Index projections, based on 10,000 simulations of the rest of the season using FPI, have Dan Campbell and the Detroit Lions having the best shot at winning it all.
The Lions have a 26.4% chance of winning in New Orleans. Next up is the Baltimore Ravens, at 14.7%, while the reigning champs in Kansas City have an 11.1% chance.
