The UFL has named eight players who’ve signed with NFL teams so far this offseason.
The league’s inaugural season ended on Sunday, but the aforementioned number of players have already received NFL contracts.
The league was formed this year, with the USFL and XFL completing a merger, and allows athletes to leave for the NFL at the end of the season whether or not they’re under contract.
Should things work out with their new NFL teams, players remain there. However, if they end up returning to the UFL, they go back to their old teams.
Per a set of social media announcements from the spring football league, defensive end Jalen Redmond has joined the Minnesota Vikings, cornerback Gareon Conley is signing with the Dallas Cowboys, guard Liam Fornadel has landed a contract with the New England Patriots, while wide receiver Daewood Davis has signed with the Panthers.
