If the New York Jets had plans to find out if Zach Wilson was their guy in year 2, it looks like they might have to wait another year.
Wilson suffered a non-contact knee injury on a scramble in Friday’s preseason opener against the Philadelphia Eagles. The New York Jets quarterback was initially ruled as questionable to return with a right knee injury before being ruled out.
While the exact severity of the injury is still unclear, the early fear that Wilson suffered a significant knee injury that could keep him sidelined for the entire 2022 season. Renowned football doctor David J. Chao quickly shared that he believes that Wilson tore his ACL given what he saw on the play.
Chao is a guy who is rarely wrong on his diagnosis.
