The reality of a violent game as football is your career could come to an end at any moment.
While the major story-lines from the NFL Draft dominated the news, there was another major development as well.
According to a report from ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter, Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Doug Baldwin’s career could be over.
“At the age of 30, Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin might be unable to play again due to the cumulative effect of multiple injuries, per sources,” Schefter reported.
“There is a real chance that Baldwin, one of the Seahawks’ best and most popular players, has played his last NFL down, a source said Friday.”
The eight-year veteran played 13 games during the 2018 season, amassing 50 catches for 618 yards and five touchdowns despite suffering a Grade 2 MCL sprain, a hip injury and an elbow injury.
He has two years left on his current deal.
