The Las Vegas Raiders’ 2024 season may be coming off the rails following another humiliating loss in Week 6, but they reportedly have no interest in fielding offers for superstar defensive end Maxx Crosby.
To be clear, Maxx Crosby hasn’t indicated that he wants out of Vegas. But he has openly expressed his frustration several times this year, even shoving assistant coach Mike Caldwell during Sunday’s 32-13 home loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
And with the Nov. 5 trade deadline inching closer, it’s easy to wonder if teams out of the playoff race like the Raiders would listen to offers on their best player. But according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, a blockbuster deal involving Crosby is not on the table at this time.
Speaking on “The Pat McAfee Show” today, Schefter stated that the Raiders wouldn’t even accept a trade offer for Maxx Crosby if it involved multiple first-round picks. Schefter believes there was one team that inquired about Crosby’s availability, only to be turned down:
“I believe earlier in the year, there might have been a team that asked the Raiders about Maxx Crosby and might have floated a one (first-round pick)…you start with multiple ones on that guy, and even then we wouldn’t entertain it.”
Schefter isn’t sure which team spoke to Las Vegas about Crosby’s availability. But the bottom line is that despite their disappointing 2-4 start, GM Tom Telesco seemingly prefers to continue building around the three-time Pro Bowler.

Over his first five games of 2024, Crosby has 5.5 sacks, two pass breakups and nine tackles for a loss .
This Isn’t The Time To Trade Maxx Crosby
If the Raiders were to trade Maxx Crosby, they’d be better off waiting until the offseason. That’s when rival GMs are more aggressive in the trade market, and when the Raiders could maximize the return on a Crosby trade.
If the Raiders don’t turn their season around in the second half, they’ll have to make a decision on the future of Crosby and other standout veterans. This team isn’t bad enough to bottom out, but they also aren’t close to realistically competing for a Super Bowl.
