On Monday, it appeared as though Deshaun Watson’s list of suitors was whittled down to two, as it was reported that he had set up meetings with just the New Orleans Saints and the Carolina Panthers on Monday night.
This news all came after Watson had reportedly rejected a trade to the Seattle Seahawks — while the Texans themselves refused to allow him to speak with the division rival Colts.
No word on whether or not Watson was satisfied with his meeting with the Saints and Panthers, but it appears as though the Houston Texans quarterback is adding another team into the mix today.
According to reports from Pro Football Network, Watson is set to meet with the Cleveland Browns on Tuesday.
Obtaining Watson from the Texans won’t be cheap for Cleveland. According to previous reports, it will take multiple first round picks, as well as Baker Mayfield and possibly even another key roster piece like Denzel Ward.

If the Browns can pull this off, it would be the latest blockbuster move of their busy offseason. Just last week they acquired former Cowboys star receiver Amari Cooper. Pairing him with Watson and the Browns’ punishing ground game would immediately make this team one of the top Super Bowl contenders, you’d think.
But if the Browns can’t pull this off, well, it’ll be interested to see how they explain their infidelities to current quarterback Baker Mayfield.
