Miami Dolphins star receiver Tyreek Hill wants a police officer involved in the now-viral traffic stop before Sunday’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars fired, and his history suggests that it should’ve happened a long time ago.
Danny “Dano” Torres has been assigned administrative duties while an internal affairs investigation is conducted.
According to Andy Slater’s investigation, Torres has a troubling past that shows he should’ve been ousted long ago and never had a chance to meet Tyreek Hill that troubling day.
The 27-year veteran has been suspended six times before, with many suspensions lasting more than 20 days because of his past actions.
While speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Tyreek Hill made it clear that Miami-Dade police officer Danny Torres deserves to have much more than just being placed on administrative duties.
“Gone. Gone. Gone. Gone. Gone. He gotta go,” Hill said. “In that instance right there, not only did he treat me bad, he treated my teammates with disrespect.”

The Fritz Pollard Alliance Foundation, which promotes diversity and equality of job opportunities in the NFL, released a statement on the same day stating that it “strongly condemns” the actions taken by Torres and the other police officers involved in Tyreek Hill’s traffic stop.
The Dolphins’ star receiver was pulled from his car and forced to the ground twice, once when he was grabbed from inside his vehicle and another time when they forced him into a sitting position on the curb outside Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens.
Body camera footage released Monday shows Torres among several cops at the scene.
Brother of Cop Placed on Leave In Tyreek Hill Detainment Speaks Out
The brother of Miami-Dade police officer Danny Torres broke his silence this week when he called him an “excellent cop” while blaming Tyreek Hill for how things went.
David Torres spoke with the Daily Mail and stated that if Hill had complied, the situation wouldn’t have transpired as it did.
He also said Hill “disrespected” the officers during the encounter.
“If you watch the video, he did not follow instructions from the get-go. He was yelling at the officer and telling him not to bang on his window,” David Torres said.
“If you know anything about dealing with police officers, you know do not raise your window on them. “The officers have every right to keep themselves safe. And that’s exactly what happened.
“They were keeping themselves safe.”
