Based on what we’ve been hearing so far this offseason, it appears as though the Dallas Cowboys could be without some of their big-time stars once the 2022 season kicks off in September.
It has already been reported that the team is likely to trade or release wide receiver Amari Cooper. And, as is the case when any superstar wideout becomes available, several possible suitors have emerged.
Cooper’s not the only Cowboys Pro Bowler who could be on his way out, though. Word is now circulating that the team is looking to trade 28-year-old offensive tackle La’el Collins.
According to the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Cowboys are having active trade conversations with other teams about Collins. They’re receiving interest from several teams too, with Collins set to make $10-million next season.
Dallas’ offensive line has been a strength for the team for some time now, but they’ve also seen their effectiveness drop off in the past couple of season as age and injuries continue to catch up to their current group.

By shopping Collins, the Cowboys could be looking to inject some younger pieces on their o-line alongside perennial Pro Bowlers Tyron Smith and Zack Martin.
