Fort Worth Star-Telegram’s Clarence Hill reported that Trysten Hill fell asleep while NBA Hall of Famer Isiah Thomas addressed the squad during a bye-week gathering last Thursday.
According to Hill — Thomas noticed the rookie defensive lineman sleeping and proceeded to call him out on it. That didn’t seem to help Hill get his act together as he would find himself back in the doghouse when he got sent home Tuesday by Cowboys coach Jason Garrett after arriving late to a morning meeting.
Starting nose tackle Antwaun Woods was also late and sent home as well.
Both players are subject to internal fines.
The No. 58 overall selection of the 2019 draft in Hill has barely saw the field n his first season, racking up just one tackle across four appearances.
Considering his recent infractions and the addition of veteran Michael Bennett — Hill might find himself even further down the roster.
