Prior to the Las Vegas incident this past weekend where Ezekiel Elliott was seen arguing with his girlfriend, shoving a security guard down, and placed in handcuffs, things really seemed to be slowing down as far as his contract situation.
The Dallas Cowboys running back is sure to cash in at some point, but will it be from the franchise that he’s currently at?
According to Jane Slater of NFL Media, Dallas has yet to offer Elliott an extension.
It has been reported many times over that Zeke would probably be the last of the big three to get paid as Prescott has recently sent a counter-offer to the Cowboys after their initial offer fell flat.
WR Amari Cooper was acquired in the middle of the 2018 season as he gets set to enter his contract year. Having already picked up the 2020 option on Elliott’s rookie deal, the Cowboys are likely to deal with Cooper first before thinking about paying their pro-bowl running back.
