The Dallas Cowboys know they need Ezekiel Elliott on the field.
Ezekiel Elliott wants to be on the field, but only if he has a new contract.
On Thursday, ESPN reporter Ed Werder revealed the team offered their disgruntled running back a contract that would put him right behind Todd Gurley’s deal, which would make him the 2nd-highest paid running back in the entire league. That would put his annual salary between $13.125M and $14.375M.
Only time will tell if Zeke will accept it or go for more. Remember, it all depends on guaranteed dollars.
Elliott rushed for 1,434 yards on 304 carries (4.7 YPC) to go along with 77 receptions for 567 yards receiving and nine touchdowns during the 2018 season.
