L’Jarius Sneed is headed into free agency after helping the Kansas City Chiefs win Super Bowl 58 and will be one of the most sought-after cornerbacks on the market.
According to Sportskeeda’s Tony Pauline, a trio of the CB’s former college teammates, namely Boston Scott, Milton Williams, and Griffin Herbert, are pushing for him to join them in Philadelphia and have been trying to recruit him via text message.
“I’m told three of Sneed’s college teammates from Louisiana Tech, who are presently on the Eagles roster, are actively recruiting the cornerback to come to Philadelphia via text messages and other methods,” Pauline wrote this week.
“Running back Boston Scott, defensive lineman Milton Williams and tight end Griffin Herbert all played with Sneed at Louisiana Tech and are pushing their former teammate to sign with the Eagles if he hits the open market.”
The reactions to this have been pretty wild given the prospect of one of the best defensive players in the league possibly leaving the Chiefs.

A recent social media post from the 27-year-old led to speculation involving the Eagles as it was a photo of him in Chiefs gear with his arms spread out accompanied by an “Eagle” emoji in the caption.
Sneed has won two championships with the Chiefs and might feel inclined to remain as an unprecedented threepeat is now a possibility. However, time will tell how his free agency goes.
