The NFL has suspended free-agent wide receiver Max McCaffrey for 10 weeks.
No particular reason was given for this infraction, but McCaffrey also received a 4-game suspension at the beginning of the 218 NFL season for an undisclosed reason as well.
Max is the brother of Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey, who currently leads the NFL in touchdowns and scrimmage yards.
Max has pretty much jumped around the league from 2016 to 2019, having stints with the Oakland Raiders, Green Bay Packers (twice), New Orleans Saints, Jacksonville Jaguars and San Francisco 49ers. He’s played in just six regular season games for the Jaguars and 49ers, catching 1 pass for 4 yards in 2017.
San Francisco waived him on Aug. 3, 2019, but McCaffrey has since moved on to signing with the XFL’s DC Defenders who drafted him in the 8th round of the league’s inaugural draft in October.
