According to Manish Mehta of NY Daily News, the New York Jets might be already looking to part ways with Le’Veon Bell as they were said to be open to trading him before today’s 4 pm Eastern trade deadline.
However, according to the Athletic’s Connor Hughes, the Jets aren’t so much shopping the running back as much as teams are just calling them to see what the price is on the RB, which is high.
He also mentioned that the Kansas City Chiefs and Houston Texans as the teams who have the most interest in Bell.
Bell just signed a four-year, $52.5 million deal with the Jets during the offseason, a move that head coach Adam Gase was reportedly against the team doing, since he believed that no running back was worth that type of money.
In seven games, bell has racked up 349 rushing yards, 1 touchdown, as well as 32 catches for 187 yards and another TD.
