I swear this weirdest things happen to opponents who get ready to face off against the New England Patriots.
Just ahead of the Chiefs-Patriots matchup at Foxboro — Adam Schefter of ESPN reported that a bunch of Chiefs gear was sent to Newark, New Jersey.
“An equipment container that contained some of the Chiefs’ shoulder pads, helmets and footballs was not unloaded on Saturday and instead accidentally made its way to Newark, New Jersey where it now is being rushed back to Boston in time for Sunday’s 4:30 p.m. ET kickoff between Kansas City and the New England Patriots, per league sources.
It was roughly 35 players’ bags, according to a source.”
Schefter made sure to note that the Chiefs, not the Patriots were responsible for this.
“I never heard that before” said one source.
The Patriots are looking to rebound from a loss to the Texans last week.
