It looks like the Chicago Bears had little to no interest in Carson Wentz.
According to NFL insider Adam Caplan, the Chicago Bears “backed out of the trade talks,” although they had been considered a top-2 contender for Wentz in the weeks leading up to the finalized trade.
Albert Breer would add the team did their homework on Wentz and never actually made an offer for him.
Carson Wentz now reunites with Frank Reich, who served as the Eagles offensive coordinator during his best season in Philly.
The Panthers and Bears will likely go full steam ahead on any talks for Deshaun Watson, should the Texans give any indication of being serious about trading him.
