Cam Newton’s return to the Carolina Panthers looks like it’s going to be pushed back even further.
ESPN’s Josina Anderson reported on Friday that Newton is meeting with Dr. Robert Anderson, who is a renowned foot specialist in Green Bay, Wisc.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Network also noted that Newton’s sprained foot “is not getting better.”
Newton hasn’t played since aggravating a left foot Lisfranc injury during Carolina’s 20-14 loss to Tampa Bay on Sept. 12th.
The Panthers suffered their first loss since he has been out, which was a 51-13 loss at San Francisco.
