With each passing report, it seems that Cam Newton might not be getting his job back regardless if he comes back being 100%.
According to Jason La Canfora, it’s highly unlikely Panthers QB Cam Newton will be able to play in Week 8 against the 49ers when the team returns from its bye.
La Canfora also added that Newton might miss yet another game even after that because he’s being told it’s not a certainty Newton would get his job back when he comes back healthy as he continues to work his way back to 100 percent.
Kyle Allen has led the team to four straight wins since his injury, which is starting to make it an interesting decision for the franchise.
It took 2 games for the team to make a decision to rest Newton until he was fully healthy, but nobody could’ve expected the team to be undefeated since his departure. The 30-year-old Newton has appeared in just two games and racked just 572 yards, no touchdowns and one interception. Not to mention, he has rushed five times for -2 yards.
