Mia DeCamilla, a young 49ers fan and cancer survivor, was attending her first NFL game in Orchard Park on Sunday as her favorite team was taking on the Buffalo Bills.
Eight-year-old Mia DeCamilla crossed off going to an NFL game, but it came on a sour note when she walked into Highmark Stadium with her mother, father, and older brother. Her experience was memorable for all the wrong reasons.
The 8-year-old 49ers fan was shoved by a Bills fan at Sunday’s game, causing her to fall from her seat.
The Buffalo Bills fan, who was male, was described as belligerently drunk and was antagonizing nearby 49ers fans.
Mia wasn’t seriously injured, but she ended up leaving the game early with her family.
“I was walking down the stairs, and then this Bills fan pushed me, and then I almost slipped, and then I hit my rib on a 49ers chair,” Mia told a local news reporter.
Now, the Bills are looking to fix the situation.

The Buffalo Bills have reportedly reached out to Mia DeCamilla after her frightening incident during the team’s 35-10 win against the San Francisco 49ers last weekend.
They plan to “provide Mia a better stadium experience with a future visit.”

A young cancer survivor was pushed down stairs at the Buffalo Bills game over the weekend.
Mia DeCamilla, an 8-year-old girl, was attending her first NFL game at Highland Park when an alleged drunk Bills fan allegedly shoved her, causing her to fall from her seat.
Mia’s mom shared a post on Facebook about her daughter’s experience:
Her message read in part: “Sadly, we left earlier than expected,” the post read. “Unfortunately, we had to deal with the police because a drunk Bills fan decided it was cool to pass my husband and I and pushed our eight-year-old daughter.”
The full message states:
“Sadly, we left earlier than planned. Yes, the Niners are losing, but unfortunately we had to deal with the police because a drunk Bills fan decides it was cool to pass my husband and I and pushed our 8 year old daughter Warrior Mia DeCamilla (down the stairs, in section 312!) If you are this type of Bills Mafia fan, please unfollow our family now.!!!!! Also, I hope the a—hole who thought it was cool to push a kid that stood in the cold with her cancer free sign was so worth your win!”
