It appears ESPN is set to lose yet another big personality as Bomani Jones’ time at ESPN is reportedly moving toward its end.
Andrew Marchand of the New York Post reports that Jones is not expected to renew his contract with the network when it expires in March. Marchand reports that Jones’ ESPN run is “all but over.”
Marchand pointed out that if ESPN wanted him to stay, Highly Questionable would probably have remained on the air with him hosting the show. Instead, the show was canceled and revamped into a new program titled Debatable. Fans thought Jones would’ve to that show, but ESPN’s promotional video for the new show included only Mina Kimes, Elle Duncan, Mike Golic Jr., and Pablo Torre.
Marchand added that Jones will still appear as a panelist on Around the Horn and distribute his podcast, The Right Time with Bomani Jones, through ESPN.
Sports fans were not entirely thrilled to hear the news about Bomani and his possible departure.

“If ESPN lets Bomani walk, it’s by far the dumbest move possible. If I’m starting a media franchise..my first 2 draft picks. Bomani and Spain,” one fan tweeted.
“Good a place like Meadowlark will use him correctly. Hope he continues the HBO show with Costas as well,” another fan tweeted.
“Not much of a surprise here. He ll end up at Meadowlark,” one fan added.
Former ESPN president John Skipper has went on record to state he was interested in hiring Nolan and Michelle Beadle, and it looks like he’ll have that same interest in Jones.
