Remember that time Kliff Kingsbury was still a college football coach and he stated he would select Kyler Murray with the #1 overall draft pick if given the chance. Yeah, it looks like that might actually happen.
It was just last week when Arizona Cardinals general manager Steve Keim threw fire on the flames when he didn’t exactly give 100% backing to Josh Rosen, who was selected in the draft just last year.
To make matters worse for Rosen — new head coach Kliff Kingsbury is telling people that Murray to Arizona is a “done deal,” according to NFL draft analyst Tony Pauline.
NFL beat writer and columnist for the South Florida Sun-Sentinel Omar Kelly seems to know something as well:
It is also that time of the year where is lying season around the NFL where teams are trying to one-up each other and throw them off from what they tell them to what they actually do during the draft.
Possibly trading Rosen and selecting Murray is definitely one of those moments where if it works out, everybody who had something to do with it will be hailed a genius, but if the opposite happens, multiple firings and setting the franchise back 10 years will most certainly happen.
