A surprise contender in the AFC has emerged as the favorites to acquire superstar wide receiver Stefon Diggs, in the event that he doesn’t return to the Buffalo Bills next season.
The 30-year-old Stefon Diggs has been widely mentioned in trade rumors over the past year. There has been plenty of speculation that he’s unhappy on his role with the team, and that Buffalo might be keen on clearing out his hefty salary.
According to the latest betting odds at DraftKings, the Houston Texans are the +350 favorites to land Diggs if he doesn’t return to the Bills. That said, Buffalo remains the considerable favorites to have Diggs on their roster come Week 1 at -280.
For what it’s worth, the Dallas Cowboys have the third-best odds of having Diggs on their roster to start the 2024 season at +900. Stefon’s younger brother, Trevon, is an All-Pro corner on the Cowboys.

The four-time Pro Bowler had another excellent season in Buffalo, racking up 107 receptions for 1,183 yards and eight touchdowns. But Diggs received criticism for another quiet postseason outing, recording just three receptions for 21 yards in the club’s Divisional Round loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.

If Buffalo were to trade Diggs, they’d surely prefer to do so before the upcoming 2024 NFL Draft. Doing so would give GM Brandon Beane confirmation that he has to draft a wide receiver or two in the early rounds.
Stefon Diggs Would Fit Perfectly In Houston
There’s no indicator that the Bills are shopping Diggs at this time. But if he were to hit the open market, Houston would of course be a fascinating landing spot.
The Texans took a major step forward last year with new head coach DeMeco Ryans, QB C.J. Stroud, wideouts Nico Collins and Tank Dell, edge rusher Will Anderson Jr. and cornerback Derek Stingley. Adding an elite receiver like Diggs would certainly help take this Houston offense to another level.
