If it wasn’t abundantly clear that Aaron Rodgers is serious about not playing for the Green Bay Packers, the next report seems to put the final nail in the coffin.
When Adam Schefter broke the news of Rodgers’ displeasure with the organization and his desire to play elsewhere in 2021, several more reports have surfaced showing his displeasure with the franchise and the GM.
Ian Rapoport reported Monday that Rodgers and the team are “not in a good place,” while also corroborating a report that came last week from fellow NFL Network insider Mike Garofolo that Rodgers “has spoken to several different players about joining him somewhere else.”
“We know that Rodgers has talked to several different players about joining him somewhere else,” Rapoport said on NFL Now. “However, of course as we know, the Packers have zero plans whatsoever to trade him.”
Rapoport also mentioned on NFL Now that Green Bay made a “significant long-term contract extension offer” to Rodgers.
“The Packers have done a lot of different things to try and make Aaron Rodgers happy and make him come back to them. They’ve made a significant long-term contract extension offer. The two sides have been negotiating, so it’s not like they’ve been talking to themselves here.”
