The first thing many people wondered once they heard about the blockbuster trade that sent Davante Adams to the Raiders for a package of 2022 draft picks was, “I wonder what Aaron Rodgers is going to think about this?”
And it was a valid question. After all, Rodgers had just re-signed with the Packers for at least another season. You’d think he only would have done so had he known Adams would still be around as well…
Turns out that couldn’t be further from the truth.
According to reports that have since come out, Rodgers was fully aware of the Davante Adams situation, and he knew that the star wideout wouldn’t play another game in Green Bay even before he signed his extension with the Packers.
It has also been reported that Rodgers knew about the trade talks that were taking place in recent days between the Packers and Raiders.
