Aaron Rodgers reportedly isn’t happy about it now being publicly known that he decided not to get a COVID-19 vaccine.
Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk reported Thursday that Rodgers is “furious” his vaccination status was leaked.
“Per a league source (the same one who tried to tell me on October 5 that Rodgers wasn’t vaccinated), Rodgers is “furious” over the fact that his true status was leaked. Given his propensity to complain about the manner in which he’s treated by the media, it’s safe to wonder whether he’ll complain about the fact that NFL Media reported his status, despite his clear desire to hide it — and his ability to do it for weeks.”
Rodgers is unvaccinated and will miss Sunday’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs. It was later revealed he wasn’t actually vaccinated despite telling the media in August he was “immunized.”
Head coach Matt LaFleur confirmed to reporters Wednesday that the quarterback tested positive for the virus.
Stephen A. Smith appeared to feel betrayed over Rodgers’ situation.

“Aaron Rodgers is a liar. Period,” Smith said Thursday during “First Take.”
“He through his teeth with a smirk on his face regarding a matter that is very, very serious. OK, you lied about that so what else did you lie about? Lied about [Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst]? Lied about what was going on about the Green Bay Packers? What else have you been lying about? Because you did it with such ease, such fluidity. It was just very, very impressive and it was slick as hell.
“’Immunized. … You didn’t take the Pfizer, the Moderna, Johnson & Johnson and, according to the NFL, that means you’re not considered vaccinated. You knew this but never said anything. The Packers are culpable too because they knew it. And you were still addressing the media without wearing a mask. You weren’t following NFL protocols.”
The NFL is currently reviewing the situation with the Packers, per a league statement on Wednesday.
