Aaron Rodgers is supposed to be on the field healthy for the New York Jets for the 2024 season, but it appears he may be working some overtime this year as well.
The New York Jets quarterback is working on getting healthy from his ruptured Achilles, but he is also a potential candidate to be Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s presidential running mate.
You read that correctly.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. confirmed on Tuesday that Aaron Rodgers and former Minnesota governor and professional wrestler Jesse Ventura were at the top of his list for serving as his running mate on an independent presidential ticket.
Rodgers has talked “pretty continuously” with Kennedy for the past month, the politician told The Times, confirming the longtime quarterback has been formally offered the position.

The quarterback’s “star power and independent zeal” are considered potential assets to Kennedy’s effort to upset Donald J. Trump and current President Joe Biden in 2024’s election.
Kennedy mostly receives attention for his promotion of conspiracy theories and vaccine skepticism. He and Rodgers pretty much align with the same thoughts as Rodgers has become increasingly notorious in the football world for using his public appearances to make controversial statements.
He once lied about getting the vaccine and also implied Jimmy Kimmel was on the Jeffrey Epstein list.
In the meantime, the longtime Green Bay Packers star is hoping to be on the field for more than just a few plays for the 2024 season and get the Jets deep into the playoffs.
