Last offseason, it seemed almost inevitable that the 2021 season would be Aaron Rodgers’ last dance with the Green Bay Packers. Then, the relationship between him and the front office got so much better.
According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, the Packers have “made a strong push” on a deal that is potentially three to four years long to re-sign Rodgers. The report says that the Packers have made a “significant long-term contract offer” to the four-time MVP and it’s an offer that’s so big that it will “alter the quarterback market.”
The current title of highest-paid player belongs to Patrick Mahomes, who signed a 10-year, $450 million extension in July.
It would make sense for Rodgers to return after the spectacular season that he had that resulted in him winning his fourth league MVP. However, it ended with a sour taste as the Packers got ousted out of the playoffs by the San Francisco 49ers.
He finished this past season with 37 touchdowns and four interceptions while throwing for 4,115 yards.
If he does decide to go elsewhere, the asking price by the Packers is expected to be through the roof whch will help the team with their rebuild, especially if they do not think that Jordan Love is their guy moving forward.

Playing for the Packers and retiring are still considered the two most likely outcomes for Rodgers’ offseason.
Rodgers is currently torn between Green Bay and Denver. The Pittsburgh Steelers are also considered an outside contender to land Rodgers.
Despite promising not to drag out his decision, Rodgers is now more than six weeks removed from the Packers’ playoff elimination without hinting about his future. At this point, Rodgers is beginning to hurt whichever team he plays for with his indecision.
