Aaron Donald helped lead the Los Angeles Rams to a Super Bowl title during the 2021 season. Based on a recent report, he might not stick around to help the team run it back.
Earlier in the offseason it was reported that the three-time Defensive Player of the Year could contemplate retirement. Apparently, that could still happen if the Rams aren’t willing to pay Donald what he feels he’s worth.
According to Rams insider Cameron DaSilva, the All Pro defensive tackle has a price in mind for his next contract, and he wont settle for anything less… Even if it means retirement.
Donald has had himself a Hall of Fame career up to this point. He’s made the Pro Bowl in each of his first eight seasons, along with seven All Pro nods and those three DPOY awards. And he just won a Super Bowl.
Now that he’s 30-years-old and has won everything there is to win as a defensive player in the NFL, you’d have to think he’d have no problem hanging ’em up if the Rams don’t pay up.
