Since Gronkowski announced his retirement on March 24th, there has been multiple rumors about him not being 100% done with the game.
His agent, Drew Rosenhaus, even hinted that he could possibly be swayed into returning to New England. The three-time Super Bowl champ responded to reports of him coming back by stating he was “feeling good” about his decision to step away from the football field.
However, Pro Football Talk is reporting that there is a slight chance he might actually come back and gave his reasons why.
“A source close to Gronkowski pegs his potential for a first annual unretirement at 40 percent.
And here’s a factor that needs to be considered: If quarterback Tom Brady makes a direct appeal to Gronk, that could be the difference maker.”
Gronk could easily be swayed into helping the Patriots obtain what would be a record-setting seventh Lombardi Trophy. At this point, it seems to be a question of when he might return, not if.
