We are now just under one week until the first round of the 2020 NFL draft kicks off and rumors are flying everywhere.
The latest report doesn’t bode well for former Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. Shortly after the news of him bombing on his Wonderlic score surfaced, NFL insider Bob McGinn of the Athletic reported that several teams have removed Tua from their draft boards.
McGinn said he polled executives from 18 teams around the league and asked them how worried they are about Tagaviloa’s injury history. He stated that three teams have already removed Tua from their draft boards ahead of next week’s draft.
“One AFC personnel man told McGinn that Tagovailoa was “a great college player” but added there are “three, four or five red flags staring us all in the face” that make it hard to risk a high pick on him.”
To add to the speculation is another report that the Miami Dolphins, who were heavily connected to Tua in 2019, have now turned their attention to former Oregon quarterback Justin Herbert.
Just like every year, you should always note that teams purposely send out misinformation in an effort to throw teams off of a player that they truly want in the draft.
