Usually, in the preseason, teams are worried about whether their players get through healthy.
On Saturday, one member of the Ravens team went down, and it wasn’t someone on the roster.
During halftime, the Ravens wanted to keep the fans entertained by letting two youth football teams play in front of the crowd. Poe, the Ravens mascot, also participated, but things went terribly bad as he was tackled by a kid in full uniform.
The mascot injured his left knee on the play and needed to be carted off the field.
WUSA 9’s Sharla McBride showed when the injury happened.
Poe’s injury nearly delayed the start of the second half as the mascot stayed on the field for a few minutes as onlookers tried to process if the person in the costume actually got hurt or was doing a bit.
