On Monday, President Donald Trump welcomed the National Champion winner Clemson Tigers into the White House to have dinner in a moment that has since gone viral.
When the Tigers players showed up, they were greeted with a table full of Sirloin Steaks, top notch…Just kidding. The President provided them with food from McDonald’s, Wendy’s, and Burger King.
Former NFL running back Reggie Bush took to Twitter and called the fast-food offerings inside the Oval Office “disrespectful” to players.
“Just when you think you’ve seen it all, @ClemsonFB you guys deserve better you are world champs and this is the honor you receive from our nations leader!? This is disrespectful on so many levels, just a huge slap in the face after that kind of performance! SMH!”
The reason the Clemson Tigers had a spread like this was quite simple: Financial reasons.
“We have pizzas, we have 300 hamburgers, many, many french fires, all of our favorite foods,” Trump told players and a horde of media. “I want to see what’s here when we leave because I don’t think it’s going to be much. The reason we did is because of the (government) shutdown. We want to make sure everything is right so we sent out and got this. We have some wonderful people working at the White House who got this.

“I will say, the Republicans are really, really sticking together. We need border security, no doubt it.”
This was the second trip to the White House in th elast three years, with the last trip being with President Obama in office.
