While Bills fans are having plenty of fun tonight at Highmark Stadium, they may want to cool it with the snowballs if they don’t want to cost their team the game.
Several times during the first half of tonight’s game in Buffalo, fans in the stands have been seen throwing snowballs onto the field. And in many of those instances, the snowballs have been directed at Miami Dolphins players.
It came to a point where Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel had seen enough. So he lodged a complaint with the refs, who then warned Bills fans that they could receive a 15-yard penalty if they continue throwing snowballs onto the field.

Bills fans were also warned on the jumbotron than anyone throwing snowballs would be ejected without refund and they could also be prosecuted for their actions.
Reports from the NFL Network’s Peter Schrager, who was on the Dolphins sideline, indicated that fans had been throwing snowballs at Dolphins players on the sideline all game. He also informed the audience that McDaniel had asked the officials what the rules are regarding the snowballs, which resulted in the warning from the refs.
It’ll be interesting to see if there are any 15-yard penalties dished out for snowball throwing from here on out.
