Trent Williams has reportedly made it clear that he will never again suit up for the Washington Redskins, but the team has balked at the idea of trading him away, but that doesn’t mean teams aren’t trying anyway.
Sources tell NBC Sports Washington that three teams have been actively pursuing the seven-time Pro Bowl left tackle, with one of them being the New England Patriots. According to the report, most of the teams chasing Williams are from the AFC.
According to NFL Insider Adam Schefter, the Redskins’ might be saying one thing publicly, but they are willing to unload the pro-bowl tackle for the right price.
Williams started 13 games during the 2018 season and is rated the #21 tackle out of 80 qualifying players, according to Pro Football Focus.
Williams is due nearly $25 million during the next two seasons.
