Derrius Guice just can’t seem to catch a break.
The Washington Redskins running back, who missed his entire rookie campaign after tearing the ACL in his left knee in 2018, opened up his 2nd season by injuring his right knee against the Philadelphia Eagles.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Guice tore his meniscus and will likely undergo surgery, which would keep him out for 6-8 weeks.
While playing for LSU, Guice suffered a knee injury as well, which is becoming a reoccurring theme for the 22-year-old.
The former 2nd-round pick is currently in the second year of his four-year, $4,541,936 contract that includes a $1,383,224 signing bonus.
