It was a terrible day to play football in Washington, not just because the Redskins are a terribly run football team, but because the weather made for a rain-soaked affair at FedEx Field that was absolutely brutal to watch.
If any Redskins fans or just gamblers laid some money down on the home team, they came away happy today. Washington, who were 9.5/10-point underdogs, became just the second team in 25 years to cover a spread without scoring a single point:
The San Francisco won the game 9-0 to put their record at 6-0 and the Redskins at 1-6. This is not the type of game both teams will look to review on Monday as little to nothing could be done offensively with a rain-soaked field.
