Former New York Giants and current Washington offensive lineman Ereck Flowers was not happy for several reasons after Sunday’s matchup against a divisional rival.
After the Giants beat Washington 24-3 on Sunday, Flowers had this to say:
“Once they get back to losing, the stadium will be back empty,” he said, per Darryl Slater of NJ.com. “That’s how I feel about them.”
He added: “I don’t care for Giants fans. They feel about me how I feel about dentists. I don’t care for this place much. I would’ve loved to have come out of here with a W, but it’s all good.”
Just when you thought he was done, he proceeded to state how he didn’t “care for” Giants head coach Pat Shurmur and gave a few choice words for general manager Dave Gettleman.
“Gettleman? Nah, I don’t care to see him,” he said. “[Expletive], the world will go into flames before me and him have a conversation.”
The 25-year-old was a first-round pick by the Giants in the 2015 NFL draft, but hsi time would end after starting 48 games when the team released him in October 2018.

“[Expletive], nobody is more happy not to be here than me,” he said after Sunday’s game. “This has been so much more of an enjoyable experience, man. I’m not looking back at my time there. Being here [with the Giants] for me was just toxic. It was toxic on the field, off the field. It doesn’t fit me.”
Flowers might be happy, but it was the Giants who came out on top Sunday, improving their record to 2-2, while the Redskins fell to 0-4.
