It was just a few days ago when Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones finally spoke up for the first time about an ESPN article detailing a $2.4 million settlement the organization paid to four cheerleaders who raised allegations of voyeurism against a now-former senior team executive.
He probably should’ve stayed quiet.
During in a recent article from Texan Monthly regarding the situation, a podcast interview shed light on Jerry Jones behvaing badly.
“Sarah Hepola’s Texas Monthly podcast on the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, America’s Girls, painted a less flattering portrait of [Cowboy owner Jerry] Jones. This Jerry Jones brought buddies to sip cocktails and leer at cheerleaders during their workouts. This Jerry Jones handpicked at least one cheerleader to accompany him on a trip in his private jet, where she was expected to wear the group’s famous, skimpy uniform and parade around for the boss’s guests.”
Cindy Villareal is the cheerleader who was invited to accompany Jones and guests on his jet.
“My first thought was, ‘Why am I being asked to be on an airplane with Jerry’s businessmen?’ I thought it was raunchy,” she told Hepola.
Each of the women in the settlement received $399,523.27 after the incident. One of the cheerleaders alleged that she clearly saw Richard Dalrymple, the Cowboys’ longtime senior vice president for public relations and communications, standing behind a partial wall in their locker room with his phone extended toward them while they were changing their clothes. Dalrymple gained entry to the back door of the cheerleaders’ locked dressing room by using a security key card.

Dalrymple also was accused by a lifelong Cowboys fan of taking “upskirt” photos of Charlotte Jones Anderson, a team senior vice president and the daughter of team owner Jerry Jones.
Dalrymple continued working for the Cowboys, in his same role, for nearly six years after the settlement.
