Rice was cut by the Baltimore Ravens after TMZ published a video of him striking his then-fiancee Janay Palmer in an elevator in September 2014. Rice has acknowledged the mistakes he made on that night and has continued to speak out against domestic violence since then.
Try as he might, no team would ever give him another shot at getting back into the league. He was basically forced into retirement.
Rice played 6 seasons for the Ravens. He had 1,430 carries for 6,180 yards, 369 catches for 3,034 yards, and scored 43 touchdowns. Rice was selected to play in 3 Pro Bowls.
