The Baltimore Ravens have added a two-time Super Bowl champion and versatile linebacker to their injury-riddled defense.
Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Baltimore added linebacker Kyle Van Noy to its 53-man roster after placing David Ojabo on the injured reserve. Van Noy was signed to Baltimore’s practice squad earlier this week.
The Ravens have been hit by the injury bug early in the season. J.K. Dobbins tore his Achilles in Week 1 and will be out for the year. Wide receivers Rashod Bateman and Odell Beckham Jr. and star cornerback Marlon Humphrey also missed Sunday’s Week 4 game against the Cleveland Browns.
Van Noy was a member of the Patriots’ squads that won Super Bowls 51 and 53 in the 2016 and 2018 seasons, respectively. The 32-year-old has also played for the Miami Dolphins, Los Angeles Chargers and Detroit Lions.
For his career, Van Noy has 470 combined tackles, 33.5 sacks, 29 pass defenses, three interceptions and 10 forced fumbles.
