If you have been watching the news lately, then you’d know about the massive church fire in Paris that ripped through the Notre Dame Cathedral and the response of millions being sent to get it rebuild.
Unfortunately, that wasn’t the only church that was engulfed by fire.
In a 10-day span in late March and early April, a 21-year-old man set fire to St. Mary Baptist Church in Port Barre, Greater Union Baptist Church in Opelousas and Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Opelousas in Louisiana. He has been arrested for three counts of counts of simple arson of a religious building.
Former Saints tight end Benjamin Watson reached out to the pastors of the three churches to see what he could do to help get those churches rebuilt.
He has found his help in Steve Bisciotti.
The Baltimore Ravens owner donated $100,000 to help rebuild the three historically black churches.

“Thankful for his willingness to help others,” Watson tweeted about Bisciotti’s pledge.
Watson’s GoFundMe page for the churches has raised over $2 million so far.
