This country desperately missed football so much that they tuned in to watch a game that had just about every starter not playing on both sides of the ball.
On Thursday night, the Jacksonville Jaguars and Las Vegas Raiders squared off in this year’s installment of the Hall of Fame Game.
The TV ratings were insane as NBC drew around 5.5 million viewers. Howver, those ratings are down from the 2021 Hall of Fame Game where it had 7.3 million viewers. It should also be noted that last year’s game featured the Dallas Cowboys and Pittsburgh Steelers.
Ratings for the Thursday night game were higher than for the Denver Broncos and Atlanta Falcons matchup in 2019.
The preseason will resume on Aug. 11 when the New York Giants take on the New England Patriots.
